We are seeking a motivated Systems Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has experience in infrastructure management and cloud technologies, with a desire to grow their skills in system automation and security practices. This role offers opportunities to learn and develop expertise in maintaining scalable systems and understanding SOC II Type 2 certification requirements.  

What You Will Be Doing  

• Supporting and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and systems  

• Assisting with monitoring and observability solutions  

• Learning and contributing to our infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer  

• Participating in the on-call rotation with senior team support  

• Contributing to the implementation of scalable infrastructure solutions  

• Learning and applying security best practices  

• Supporting SOC II certification maintenance under guidance  

Required Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience  

• 1-2 years experience with Linux/Unix systems administration  

• Experience with cloud infrastructure management  

• Working knowledge of provisioning tools such as Terraform or Cloudformation  

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AWS Cloudwatch, Datadog, Grafana or Prometheus  

• Basic knowledge of AWS and its core services (EC2, S3, VPC)  

• Experience with basic scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)  

Valuable Experience  

• Experience with configuration management tools (ansible, chef, or salt)  

• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery concepts  

• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker)  

• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Github Actions  

• Interest in network security principles and practices  

Growth Opportunities

• Learn to lead and improve on-call processes  

• Gain experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration  

• Build deep expertise in infrastructure automation and security compliance
