Using recorded videos to create training
“Right now, we’re using LEAi to transcribe videos from SMEs and give us a rough draft of a course to start with, and then we export it into Word to do all of our final inline wordsmithing.
We then pull that document back into LEAi to use the suggestions and a lot of the great AI pieces that LEAi has, including doing the quiz question writing.
I love the new scenario questions – it does a really good job with that so I would definitely recommend LEAi as a publishing tool because I think the output of it is a better customer experience than the output of many of the other tools.
Not only is it good for us because it saves time, but it’s good for the customer because we get a product with better experience.”
Traditional vs AI for converting training videos to eLearning
“We would actually have to sit and watch the videos and we unfortunately have a bunch of videos that were done from long courses, so the recordings could actually be two, three or even almost four hours.
And so we would have to scrub through those videos to actually write down what they were saying and pull all of the main points out of it. To scrub through a three-hour video and actually document it, that could take eight hours alone.
Now I can I can put it into LEAi and actually get the full transcription ready in about 20 minutes. That’s a huge time-saving right there.”
Time savings with LEAi
“I think with certification, we’re going to say 40 to 50 hours off of every three-month process, so that’s a substantial saving.
With the beginning of each course, when we take a SME video and put that in, I would say it probably saves us a day or two anyways and my hunch is that we can get even faster.
We’re just really in our beginning stages of using the AI. What I love about it too is some of the new rewrites and rewriting into different languages, different formality, different tones for example doing a professional tone or a casual tone or a fun tone.
Most of the writing that I’m looking for is somewhere between the casual and the fun so trying to sort of mix the two of those up and blend that into what we’re looking for, for tone of voice.”
Why you need to use LEAi
“I definitely would recommend LEAi because it can definitely speed up the processes.
We’re at the point now where we can publish and then make changes to courses quickly and that’s something that I’m really looking forward to exploring more.
We’re just getting ready to start publishing all of our courses from LEAi because we’ve got the process now that works well, so I would definitely recommend LEAi as a publishing tool because I think the output of it is a better customer experience.
